Set at the beginning of Act II, the women of the shipyard celebrate Christmas with food, drinks, and a serious conversation about what might happen to their newfound independence after the war ends. The women don’t all agree, so to lighten the mood, Frances proposes a world where (whether or not they keep working at the shipyard) the women get to enjoy a privilege they’ve long been the victims of: mansplaining.
